The building is Grade II listed and dates from the 18th century; these days it wears a big pink sign you can see from the far end of Duke Street. Rude Liverpool fills three floors of it, in the city centre's Ropewalks.

Downstairs there's a forty-foot marble bar and the main stage. Up on the second floor, the Red Lounge looks down on the stage from a balcony and has its own bar, private VIP rooms and dance booths, with a discreet separate entrance. There's a cigar lounge too. Stage-side tables and stag packages can be booked ahead, from a table for two up to big group booths.
