Listen for the bass on Forsyth Street. Magic City has been playing R&B and hip-hop from its corner of downtown Atlanta since 1985, and it wears the line GQ once gave it, America's most important club, without much fuss. The room is built around the stage and its poles, with VIP tables up front and bottle-service sections by the DJ booth and the door; Monday nights get their own stage tables, worth booking ahead.

The kitchen is known all over town for its wings. Doors open at 3 p.m. Monday through Saturday and Sunday is dark. The dancers are fully nude, and the rule is look, don't touch.
