Just over the river from the CBD, on Logan Road in Woolloongabba, 88 on Logan keeps a first visit easy. You're greeted at a relaxed reception, a staff member talks you through the rates and how things work, then you meet the ladies on shift and make your choice. Fancy a quiet word first? There's a private room off reception for exactly that.

The suites are the showpiece, five of them and each with its own theme: Havana is the fully equipped bondage room, Bamboo is all mirrors, Opium is a tented boudoir, Chinto has a four-person spa and Regal is the party room. Every one has air conditioning, in-room music and movies. Weekdays open at 10am, and Friday and Saturday nights run through to 5am. There's an ATM on site.
