Membership comes first at Colette Dallas, a private on-premise social club on Composite Drive in northwest Dallas for couples and singles who are in, or curious about, the swinging, polyamorous and open-relationship lifestyles. The Dallas club belongs to a small Texas and Louisiana chain and opens Wednesday through Saturday from 9 p.m., until 2 a.m. midweek and 4 a.m. on weekends.

Inside there is a dance floor with a DJ, a lounge, a second-floor lounge, lockers and a VIP room that takes private parties of up to 30. Alcohol is not sold: guests bring their own and the bar staff pour it with free mixers and ice. Valet parking is offered, the club is non-smoking and admits only guests 21 and over, and the dress code is upscale, with collared shirts and dress shoes required of single men.
