At 2 a.m., when most of North Beach is being shooed out onto Broadway, the Hustler Club on Kearny Street is only changing gears. It bills itself as the city's official after-hours room from Thursday to Saturday, open until 4 a.m. on Thursday and 5 a.m. on weekends, and after two the door takes guests 18 and over. The bar, as California insists, calls it a night at 1:30.

Inside it is topless only: a round, mirrored main stage under a disco ball, curtain rooms and champagne rooms, VIP tables with bottle service, and a kitchen doing wings, burgers and a New York strip almost to closing. Weekdays start at 2 p.m., and team jerseys get past the dress code.
