The Gateway Club has been part of the Petersham streetscape for the best part of fifty years, which on this stretch of Parramatta Road counts as heritage.
Most people come in the back way, where secure parking sits at the Queen Street door. Guests are shown to a softly lit lounge with curtained corners and a complimentary drink while the ladies come through. There are two bars, club rooms and deluxe rooms with a king bed and fresh water spa, plus a lift and three separate exits.
It opens at three each afternoon and runs straight through from Wednesday to Monday morning.
