Most lifestyle clubs want paperwork first. Club Encounters, on West Clarendon Avenue in west Phoenix, asks for no membership and no reservation, and it keeps desert hours: 8 p.m. to 4 a.m. through the week and 5 a.m. on Friday and Saturday, plus a Friday noon session for the daylight crowd. The main floor has a lit dance floor with a DJ, two video lounges, a pool table and a juice and snack bar; there is a Jacuzzi room with showers and lockers, and a smoking patio out back. Upstairs are six private rooms, one with a swing. Couples get in free on Monday evenings.
