Mountains and the sea, in roughly equal measure. Those are the two places that reset me — everything you were fretting about on Friday looks a good deal smaller from either one.

For a proper holiday I'd take the countryside or a small town every time; you meet the place instead of photographing it. A long weekend is a different animal. Then I want a big city, with its restaurants, its galleries and its very late nights.
