Out on NW St. Helens Road, where industrial Northwest Portland strings along the highway by the river, Casa Diablo calls itself the world-infamous vegan strip club, and it is not joking. The kitchen cooks only vegan food, the bar backs its cocktails with kombucha, yerba mate and CBD sodas, and the dress code turns away leather, fur and feathers. The room glows red around the stage and pole, with two VIP booths and a champagne room area, and a bachelor or birthday guest can be hauled up on stage between two dancers and sent home with the T-shirt. Cover is $8 on Friday and Saturday, free otherwise. Closed Mondays, open until 2:30 a.m. the rest of the week; keep your phone face down.
