A yacht off St Tropez, a suite in Monaco, a quiet weekend somewhere with the phones face down. That is the shape my work usually takes, and I have arranged my whole life around it rather than the other way round.

Rates and boundaries get discussed once, clearly, before anything is confirmed, and then neither of us mentions them again for the rest of our time together. I find that keeps the mood where it belongs.
