The Brass Rail has held down its stretch of Yonge Street since 1958, a longer run than most coaches get in this town. It sits at 701 Yonge, steps from the Yonge and Bloor subway station, and calls itself Toronto's premier gentlemen's club, with more than 300 dancers on the roster.
The building plays on three levels. The main room is the lively one, soft neon and all-nude stage shows. Above it, the Mezzanine is a quieter hideaway with couches, its own bar, a screen for the game and bottle service. Upper Brass, the VIP lounge upstairs, charges a $30 cover and swaps the noise for plush seating, champagne lounges and booths.
Doors open at noon Monday to Saturday and at 5 p.m. Sunday, closing at 2 a.m. Stag parties are a speciality, for up to 50 guests; ask about the daily Italian specials.
