In my own head I'm not working at all. I'm the fairy godmother who kisses her prince, except that I go considerably further than she does.

Alexandra, only just arrived, and I'd like the two of us to make something beautiful out of an evening. At your service in the proper sense of the phrase, attentive and unhurried. And I love sex every bit as much as you do. Passion is more or less the organising principle of my life, which is why I have never quite managed to call this work. Whatever I happen to be good at, you get all of it.
