Deposits
Future-dated appointments normally require a deposit to hold the slot and to make sure you arrive at the agreed time. Booking is first come, first served, and a missed appointment affects my schedule and my income. Without a deposit I cannot promise the time will stay open. I understand people have their reasons to hesitate about deposits. I hold one for two weeks unless a refund or a reschedule is arranged, and I will do my best to reach an arrangement that works for both of us. I value both of our time. Be reasonable with me and I will do the same for you.

No-shows
If you miss an appointment without letting me know beforehand, I may ask for a deposit before any future booking, because there was no accountability the first time. This applies when there was no contact at all before the appointment time. In extreme cases I can make an exception if you get in touch respectfully later the same day, within about three hours.

Contact
Texting is always preferred. Calls are not answered before 10:30 am or after 10:30 pm on any day. I check e-mail once in the morning and once in the evening, so it is the slowest way to reach me and unlikely to work for a same-day request. If you need more privacy, ask about encrypted messaging.

Standard schedule
Monday to Thursday: 8:00 am to 11:30 pm.
Friday to Sunday: 8:00 am to 3:00 am.
On any day, exceptions are possible when arranged in advance, though usually not the same day; it depends on the individual meeting and the schedule.
