Bill Hagood brought The Cheetah to Atlanta in 1977, and since the late eighties it has held court on Spring Street in Midtown, among the lofts and high-rises near the MARTA station. The Main Room is the heart of it: three stages, a ceiling of glowing video cubes and the CheetahGirls, who perform nude. The Executive Room next door is quieter, all deep sofas and its own bar.

Then there is Alluvia, the white-tablecloth kitchen opened in 2001, sending elevated Southern cooking to the tables, the VIP suites and the main floor. Doors open at 3 p.m. Monday through Saturday; Sundays are dark.
