The Pendulum Club

Three women own and run The Pendulum Club, and the original location on Hempstead Road in northwest Houston, opened in 2015, is the busiest of their three lifestyle clubs by their own count. It is a private, membership-based, non-smoking and BYOB venue for couples, single women and a limited number of single men; the house supplies ice, cups and mixers, and one cover charge opens every area of the club.

The owners keep the rooms deliberately small, yet each club offers ten separate areas, and the staff will give first-timers a tour before 10:30 p.m. Participation is never required. Guests must be over 21, men are expected in a pressed collared shirt, and the club is clear that it is not a strip club.
