South African, and after ten years away I still apologise when somebody else walks into me. Thirty now, an age I have decided to enjoy rather than argue with.

What I am actually good at is making a stranger stop feeling like one. A slow start, proper conversation if you want it, and no stretch of the hour where you feel like an appointment. Salmiya. I answer messages through the afternoon and evening; write at dawn and you will hear back around lunch.
