Safety tips
Your safety matters — whether you're meeting an advertiser or advertising yourself. Read the tips that apply to you before arranging or attending any meeting.
Before you meet
Verify who you are dealing with and trust your instincts. Communicate clearly in advance, agree on the details beforehand, and never share more personal or financial information than necessary. If something feels off, do not go through with it.
Never send money in advance
Never send money before a meeting. Payment is always exchanged in person, directly at the meeting — never in advance. Most scammers ask for money up front: deposits, "booking fees", verification or "membership" fees, gift cards, bank transfers and cryptocurrency are all red flags. If anyone asks you to pay anything before you meet, it is a scam — do not pay, and walk away.
When you meet
Choose a safe location, let someone you trust know where you are and when you expect to be back, and keep your phone charged and accessible. Stay sober enough to stay aware of your surroundings. If something feels wrong, leave.
Protect your privacy
Be careful with the personal details you share — your home address, workplace, financial information, or identity documents. Use a separate phone number or messaging app where possible, and be cautious about sending intimate photos that could later be used against you.
If you advertise on EscortFox, these tips help you screen enquiries and stay safe.
Screen new clients
Take a moment to check who you're dealing with before you agree to meet. Ask for whatever verification or references you're comfortable with, and trust your instincts — if a request feels off, decline it. Asking a new client for a deposit or booking confirmation is a legitimate way to screen out time-wasters; be clear about it up front.
Meet a new client safely
Choose a location you know, tell someone you trust where you'll be and when you expect to finish, and arrange a check-in call. Keep your phone charged and within reach, keep a clear way out, and stay sober enough to read the situation. If something feels wrong, leave.
Protect your identity
Share as little personal information as you can. Use a separate work number or messaging app rather than your private one, be careful with photos that show your face or other identifying details, and never give out your home address. EscortFox keeps your contact details masked until you choose to reveal them — see our Privacy Policy.
Handle payment and your account
Agree the service, time and rate clearly before you meet, and be alert to overpayment or chargeback scams. Protect your account, too: use a strong, unique password, and remember that EscortFox staff will never ask for your password or a fee — if someone claiming to be from EscortFox does, it's a scam. See our FAQ for more.
