I come from a formidable line. Viking women stand at its root; the majesty of Habsburg royalty, the stubbornness of German warriors and the polish of New Orleans society fill in the rest, and all of it runs through My veins. What that left me with is an unusual blend: brilliance and tenacity, wisdom and primal appetite, and a logic that runs cold when it needs to.

I was a debutante who fought with words and earned induction into The World Language Honors Society. I am a classically trained pianist, a runway model and a competitive English rider, among other things. I have visited 20 countries so far, hold my own in Japanese conversation and speak a little of more than 19 languages. I graduated Summa Cum Laude and then published my first novel.
