About me

Good company, I have always thought, should make you feel more like yourself rather than more conscious of yourself.

By nature I am warm and honestly curious about people: what makes you laugh, what gets you talking, the stories that only surface once you have relaxed. I notice things, and there is something quietly intimate in being understood without having to explain every corner of who you are.

Comfortable, though, must never slide into predictable. I love a quick wit, a little teasing, eye contact that lingers a beat too long, and that small flicker of flirtation capable of turning an evening in a new direction. I can be polished when the setting demands it, yet I never want refinement to harden into formality. Take me somewhere beautiful and I will savour every detail; give me wonderful company and I may stop noticing the room altogether.

Some Chicago nights ask for dressing up, others for letting my hair down and following the evening wherever it drifts. I like both. What I care about is the blend: conversation with some weight to it, chemistry that needs no coaxing, laughter that catches us off guard, and just enough mischief to keep things lively.

The best time together, for me, feels easy without ever feeling ordinary. It is the sort of evening when you realise hours have passed without a glance at the clock, and you are still not ready to end it.
