About us

A red-brick laneway, a steel door and a small illuminated sign: the private rear entrance of Top of the Town says little. The front is a heritage-listed building at 516-518 Flinders Street, a short walk over the footbridge from Crown and almost on the King Street corner.

Inside it plays like a gentlemen's club. The lounge is lit in cobalt and red, with chesterfields, a pool table, a row of pinball machines, a glowing jukebox and a mock marble fireplace. A timber stair climbs to 11 rooms over three levels, some under mirrored ceilings. Walk in to meet the ladies, or book ahead.
