About us

Headlights on the Great North Road pick out the Anchor Lodge Hotel at Tempsford in Bedfordshire, home of The Vanilla Alternative, a private members' club for couples and singles. Membership costs twenty-five pounds a year, and the door expects effort: a shirt and smart shoes for men, no trainers or branded sportswear, phones left at reception.

Inside are a lit bar, lounges, playrooms and a dungeon, lockers and showers, a hot tub and an outdoor terrace. Friday parties run until half past two and Saturdays until three; guests who would rather not drive home can book a room in the hotel on site.
